The first recordings for this
album where recorded
in Dyssegårdskirken in
1999. The Project was
thought of as a
demo CD for my former
sheet music publisher
Warner/Chappell
Music Denmark A/S.
In 2006 I recorded
four more organ pieces
as well as a solo
sonate for trumpet
and had as a result enough
material for a CD.
The CD came out in
2007.

About Symbolik:

"Over the past 25 years an extensive body of trumpet repertoire has emerged, as
orginal compositions, and as compositions re-arranged for trumpet and organ.
Many of these worksprimarily focus on the heroic and extrovert expressiveness of the
instrument. One will find Jakob vejslev's compositions refreshingly different. His introvert
and delicate use of the trumpet together with the organ is becoming to both. In his solo
trumpet sonata Vejslev shows us the whole gamut, from the expressionistic to the soft
and introvert, and from teh exalted to the mirthful. I warmly recommend these pieces."
